We're alive and well

Just a few words to let you know that we're doing fine. Lately, I just didn't have the "kick" to write although we do have quite a bit to say.

OrangeX and I have also been busy preparing for Canada. We've been spending much of our free time looking at houses in different regions of Ontario. Little by little, things are looking up. The job opportunities look petty good although they might take us to the greater Toronto area instead of the Ottawa valley. But that's also fine with me. I can't say much more for now, but we will let you know as soon as we can.

Orange will be in Holland for an company training all week and is driving back on Friday with his sister and brother-in-law for the weekend. YAY! The week after that, he'll be finishing the last part of his management course near Frankfurt, so I won't be seeing much of him in the next 2 weeks. Pack, unpack, wash, pack, unpack, wash. UGH! The weekend he comes back, we're invited to a 50th birthday party to which we both are looking forward to. It's never crazy, but we always meet really interesting people there.

And from then on, I'm down to my last 7 days at work. I'm trying hard to leave the office between 5 and 5.30 pm, but it doesn't always seem to work. I find myself concentrated on something and before I know it, it's past 6 pm.

We have also booked our flights for Canada. We leave on the 15th december and return on January 5. I haven't spent Christmas in Canada since I left 22 years ago, so this will be a première. It's really exciting for me.

That's all for tonight. If I find the energy, I'll write a bit more this week.

Ms. Mac- It will be very special, mostly to spends the Holidays with my family and friends, but I also miss a real white Christmas :)

XM- It will be busy with all the moving preps, but I'm planning time with them for sure. I am certain that I won't get bored in Toronto. I've been there a few times already, an I think it's a great city!

So many thoughts, CS. Donica and O-X are both in Holland this week, I see. And lots of back-n-forths, so I know that "pack, unpack, wash, pack, unpack, wash" mantra quite well.

Toronto is not far from where I visit in Michigan each year, so I might have yet another place for meeting you! :)

And I love that you'll have Xmas at home, after 22 years!, to look forward to. And with only a week left at work, you have got to be flying higher than a kite!

You go, Girl!

Ginnie- That would be great. I've seen the picts of the family cottage!

Actually, I still have 3 weeks from today on, but by the time Orange is done with all his travelling, I'll have only a few days left to go. :)

That's very interesting to know about TO. Looking for a house, LOL that would be like looking for a piece of cardboard or a hut for $600K before the house here in Vancouver...

It all sounds like fun though. I'm glad you guys are well... Been missing the posts but I'm sure you are enjoying the time...

And we all know you still comment. :)

CS, thanks for your comments. I think you will settle down and feel better once you physically make the move to Canada. There is nothing worse than being stuck in Limbo.

All my best to you and Orange X. Would love to hear how Orange is managing these days!

Wow, you've really got things organized. I'm happy that everything's looking so good.

Christmas will be great. My last Christmas in Canada was in 1993 and I really miss it.

22 years???? Oh gosh that's just not good! You are going to have such a wonderful holiday and I am green with envy. If you're in Toronto go visit the Chapters store in Yorkville and meet me gorgeous daughter heeheee!

TMS- I think you're right about being stuck in a Limbo. And I'm sure Orange will pop-up again for a visit. :)

Christina- It's more like chaotic organization, but yes, it's looking good ;)

T1- Yep. 22 years! But I did have invite my Mom over twice for Christmas :) And if we are near Toronto and have a chance to drive around a bit, we will stop by. Chapters is one of my favourite stores.
