Right line of work, wrong Major

This morning, while reading through some blogs, I saw this quiz on Mausi's blog. Out of curiousity I decided to follow the link and go through the quiz. I must say it's pretty accurate as I have given up the line of work I majored in and found the right job through experience.

You scored as Accounting/Finance/Marketing, You should strongly
consider majoring (or minoring) in Accounting, Finance,
Economics, Marketing, or related majors (e.g., Computer/
Management Information Systems (CIS or MIS), Entrepreneurship,
International Business, Operations Management, Public
Administration, Real Estate, Risk Management, Sports Management).

It is possible that the best major for you is your 1st, 3rd,
or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors
in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score
high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible
that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as
not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you
love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

It also clearly confirms my least interest by far. It's quite amazing!

Wow...you are one of those right brain people...or is it left brain? Whichever one is all math and logic...

Thanks for the tip, I've done it now as well, and will post it asap. But does it not tell you what you already knew?

Mr. Fab - you're right. I'm one of those beta / left brain people. Funny enough, however, I hated math & economics in high school. Nowadays I love solving complex problems.

Swenglischexpat - you're right. At this age I should know. It's just a confirmation.

I love stuff like this, CS. I think it makes a good exercise and I always am eager to see the results. If/when I have time, I'll do it.

Just arrived back in A'dam this morning. I like being on this side of the pond again!

If I spent 40K on learning the wrong thing, I don't want to know it!
